An Indiana woman has been sentenced to 65 years in prison for her involvement in the kidnapping and rape of a couple she met on an LGBTQ dating app in 2021. Heidi Kathleen Carter was convicted of murder, criminal confinement, and aiding in rape after her ex-boyfriend, Carrey Hammond, violently confronted the couple at her home. The situation escalated from consensual activities to brutal assaults, resulting in the death of 50-year-old Tim Ivy. Carter was arrested when a cleaning service found Ivy’s body and the severely injured woman.
