“Under Crocodile Attack in the Water, the Wildebeest Attempted to Drag the Predator onto Shore and Summoned 500 Siblings for Assistance.”

In the video, a crocodile bites a wildebeest on its right hind hoof. This action starts an 8-minute-long spectacular “tuck” between an antelope and a crocodile. A frail wildebeest that believed it was about to be murdered by a crocodile had a “arranged” situation interrupted by two lazily approaching hippos.

The crocodile was provoked into releasing the fleeing antelope in order to prevent a collision with the hippo. “I have never seen a hippo come to the rescue of another animal, it is simply extraordinary,” a traveler who saw this scenario commented.

However, other observers hypothesized that the hippo’s actions might have just been territorial protection. Particularly, hippos frequently dislike sharing their habitat with other creatures, especially when terrestrial mammals invade.

Therefore, in the video, it’s possible that the hippo mistakenly assumed the wildebeest was an intruder and rushed to attack to drive it away.

Unintentionally, this action turned into a quick rescue for the antelope from the crocodile’sa teeth.
