Dua Lipa’s Versace Catsuit Cuts All the Way Down to Her Bellybutton

December 10, 2023 by Pham Hien

This silhouette looks familiar.

Two decades after Jennifer Lopez wore a jungle-print Versace gown to the Grammy Awards, it looks like Dua Lipa is ushering in a new down-to-there Versace look as we flip our calendars to 2022. In her latest Instagram post, Lipa — a bonafide Versace girl thanks to turns on the catwalk and ad campaigns for the storied Italian brand — Lipa wore a psychedelic-print Versace catsuit with a deep V that dropped all the way down to her navel.

The long-sleeved bodysuit featured a mix of Versace medusa heads swirled into a pattern of bright blue and retina-searing neon green. She added a bold blue La Medusa Bag to the look and gave her Instagram followers an impromptu fashion shoot. It caught the attention of none other than Donatella Versace, who dropped a comment calling the outfit “mesmerizing.”

“Got stars ✨ in my eyes — that’s one way to make me hallucinate! DUAAAA you are MESMERISING,” she wrote.

The full-length catsuit showed plenty of skin, but was a full 180 from Lipa’s last fashion moment, which consisted of a white bikini for a hot tub session. It wasn’t the usual interpretation of winter white, but she did add seasonally appropriate Hello Kitty moon boots with fuzzy trim.

Considering that 2021 gave us Dua Lipa in a tiny crochet bikini, butterfly-embellished everything, and a sneak peek at her Puma collab, it looks like fans should prep for a full-on fashion tour de force next year, when the superstar embarks on her Future Nostalgia tour and, fingers crossed, gets plenty more Versace to wear.
